Job Description

We are currently searching for an experienced Agricultural and Construction Equipment Technician to join the Team in our White House, TN location. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping customers with a can-do attitude exceeding our customer's expectations.

General Duties - Some duties are, but not limited to, the following for our Equipment Technicians:

  • Set the tone and represent Coleman Tractor in the community through knowledge, honesty, and integrity.
  • Begin each workday with a positive mindset and always encourage a sense of “team” amongst peers
  • Conduct equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
  • Diagnose and repair all major systems on compact and agricultural equipment as assigned by the Service Manager
  • Perform system rebuilds and overhauls
  • Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts, Service, Sales, Admin
  • Stay on top of technical and product knowledge by attending/completing all assigned training from Coleman and Kubota
  • Along with the Lot Coordinator, keep the service shop clean and organized
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor
  • Ability to work on small engine equipment, heavy machinery, and implements

General Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and vendors
  • Ability to speak effectively one on one
  • Ability to effectively listen
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills
  • Must have positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work alternating Saturdays from 8am-12pm during the spring, summer, and fall

Physical Requirements

  • This position is very active, requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
  • Employee but frequently lift and/or move items over 50lbs
  • Ability to Load and unload equipment

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in equipment service operations
  • Strong mechanical background including excellent skills in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
